Our Story
As a Bayswater local since I was 7 – the area holds some fond memories. The original “Big Dog” – my kelpie Jonah passed away last year, and the name of the company is a nod to his companionship and his attitude. The 60 is a reference to the 6-0 post codes I grew up in and proudly call home. The Big Dog life is no-nonsense, authentic and fun. Jonah wouldn’t bark at you and puff up his chest – he’d wait for you to cross the line and bite you with a little mischief in his eye. He is the OG “Big-Dog” – and epitomises the grit and values I want the clothes to embody.
Meet the Team
The Team is my family. We are locals – just taking a swing and hopefully providing a fun, convenient experience. Shari is a finance guru – this investment has been deemed risky 😉 Shari keeps our ideas sensible. But to be honest her last 9 month project resulted in 18 years plus of costs – so how smart can she be? Shari’s fashion vibe was grown in the beautiful Busselton – cute, beachy and practical. Adam is a cheeky idiot. He works in the mining industry – 15 years in a regimented industry with a severe lack of discipline. He has love for fashion in the form of sneakers and street-wear. Old School Hip-Hop, retro cartoons and local culture mould his style – often taking subtle digs in the process.
Shop Our Essentials
I’m a regular bloke who likes the Simpsons, sneakers, records and the “occasional” beer. I noticed I was ordering Tees and Hoodies all the way from the UK. I started playing around with some designs, found some shirts that even made a portly gent like myself look reasonable. I thought – I can’t be the only one. I wanted to couple a really local feel to an apparel company in every aspect. The graphics, the customer service and even the delivery. I want you to feel as invested in the apparel as I do. Enjoy browsing, my family and I really appreciate your support.
